Footwear Design, Biomechanical Research
Plantar pressure mapping and anatomical research informed the development of the sole. The research focused on the distribution of pressure across the foot and how carefully positioned surface features could create a more engaging tactile experience during walking.
Digital modelling and physical prototyping were used to explore the relationship between surface geometry, comfort and movement. The concept combines functional experimentation with a minimal footwear form, investigating how a familiar everyday object can offer a different sensory experience.
